The Opportunity - Assistant Financial Controller
About the role: As Assistant Financial Controller for JCB, you'll play a key role in managing financial accounts and providing accurate, timely data that supports critical business decisions.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing financial reports, P&L statements, and variance analysis for business unit management.
- Interpret and present financial analysis clearly and persuasively, providing insights and recommendations to influence key decisions.
- Act as a financial business partner for stakeholders within the business unit.
- Manage year-end accounting and control processes to meet statutory requirements.
- Oversee monthly accounts, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Produce performance indicator reports and ad-hoc analysis as required by management.
- Prepare and submit monthly cash flow forecasts and budgets.
- Liaise with and manage external auditors.
- Assess financial risks and appraise investment proposals for new products and capital expenditure.
- Lead and develop a small team, conducting regular performance reviews and providing guidance to achieve objectives.
