We are currently seeking a Deputy Clinical Lead/Deputy Ward Manager to join our male acute inpatient clinical team in Bury. The successful applicant will work primarily within the Irwell Unit on South ward, a 22-bed acute admission ward providing assessments and care for adults with acute mental health needs requiring hospital admission.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as a Deputy Clinical Lead/Deputy Ward Manager, possess excellent communication skills, welcome challenges, and have a genuine desire to improve the care we provide to adults, including evolving models of care and modernisation of mental health services. You will be responsible for assessing needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating care programmes for clients admitted to the ward. You will also support and supervise junior staff, assist with audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will hold first-level registration as an RMN/RNMH, have experience in a mental health setting, and be able to work across a 24-hour shift pattern on a rotational basis.
