Following a further review, my retail client is seeking an experienced consultant, or senior professional, to support a major Supply Chain transformation programme. This is a high-impact 12-month contract role working closely with the leadership team to shape strategy, improve performance, and build capability across the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining and shaping a business-wide Supply Chain Strategy
  • Delivering the Supply Chain elements of the Annual Business Plan, focusing on:
    • Availability – improving customer outcomes while reducing cost and excess stock
    • Distribution Centre performance – driving efficiency from a Supply Chain perspective
    • Supply Chain systems – advising on effective solutions and supporting implementation
  • Leading and supporting major change and project management activity
  • Building technical capability across UK and offshore Supply teams
  • Working closely with external partners on end-to-end transformation initiatives

What we’re looking for:

  • Senior Supply Chain leader with strong experience across either FMCG, retail or wholesale
  • Proven background in developing and delivering Supply Chain strategy
  • Experience improving availability, stock flow and end-to-end efficiency
  • Strong capability in system selection, implementation or optimisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
  • Ability to work across multi-site and multi-country teams
