Reporting to the Manufacturing Production Coordinator, this role is responsible for the efficient production of drapes and specialist creative textiles within the Manufacturing department. The role predominantly revolves around operating sewing machines, and a high level of accuracy in sewing, measurement, and fault identification is required.
Key Accountabilities and Activities:
- Operate a sewing machine to manufacture drapes to a high-quality standard and efficiently carry out quality checks and fault identification during the process.
- Experience of operating Flat Bed and Overlocking machines.
- Carry out basic servicing on the sewing machines, which includes cleaning; this will involve travelling time and potential overnight stays.
- Attention to detail must be high.
- Flexible working ethos due to last-minute overtime will be required.
- Ability to work methodically and be organised.
