Responsibilities
- As a Tool Designer you will develop CAD drawings for all Proseal Machine tooling and documents in line with standard machinery or customer specifications.
- Design work will include mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, and equipment datasheets.
- Carry out the design process and development for both new and existing products to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Prepare bills of materials for manufacturing, documenting all part numbers and drawing references.
- Liaise with colleagues, assist with potential quality issues through production.
- Interpret customer ideas and prepare drawings and 3D models for manufacture, including all dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and notes.
- Assist managers and colleagues with matters related to product development.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs in design, materials used and manufacturing techniques.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of products and services.
