The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse & logistics operations, ensuring that all activities within the cell are performed efficiently and accurately. This role involves coordinating with team members to maintain optimal workflow and support the overall logistics functions of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Coordination: Lead and guide the team within warehouse & logistics to meet daily operational targets. Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement best practices to optimise workflow within the department. Identify and resolve operational issues promptly. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy. Conduct regular cycle counts and report discrepancies. Collaborate with inventory management to address stock-related issues.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote and enforce safety standards within the cell. Conduct safety checks and report any hazards or violations. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality for all processes within the cell. Address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with quality teams to ensure product integrity.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare daily reports on cell performance and activities. Communicate effectively with the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor and other departments. Participate in meetings to discuss operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in warehouse operations. Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organisational and leadership skills. Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Proficient in warehouse management systems and basic computer applications. Knowledge of Courier / Freight Portals for booking Domestic & Overseas Shipments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customs Import & Export Knowledge.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a dynamic warehouse environment. Must be able to lift and move items as required.
