Location: Adlington, UK (Proseal)
Join a team of 29 technicians in our electrical department. You will wire, build and test machinery for the food industry, working closely with mechanical assembly and quality teams, and reporting to the Electrical Manager.
Shift Pattern / Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 17:00 with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break and two paid 15‑minute breaks. Total 40 hours per week.
Key Tasks And Accountabilities:
- Wire panel back‑plates, doors, etc. from circuit diagrams and panel layouts.
- Ensure electrical build quality is of the highest standard.
- Install control cubicle and field components (electro/mechanical).
- Terminate and secure external cabling to the correct points in the control panel.
- Install PLC & HMI programs.
- Carry out earth continuity, insulation and pre‑delivery testing.
- Provide remote support and on‑site support for breakdown situations.
- Perform on‑site machine commissioning where necessary.
- Conduct operator and technical training at clients’ sites or at Proseal.
- Carry out on‑call and service duties as per the service rota.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop each working day.
- Occasionally work outside normal hours, including UK and overseas sites.
What We Would Like To See From You:
- Time‑served electrician with industrial control‑system wiring and fault‑finding experience.
- 18th Edition certified.
- Experience with PLCs, servo drive systems and AC inverters.
- Food‑industry experience is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence.
