We have offices in more than 25 countries and are growing through organic expansion and acquisitions. JBT is seeking an Assembly Technician to join the Proseal team located just south of Manchester.
Job Location: Macclesfield, United Kingdom
Responsibilities:
- Ensure assembly and build quality is of the highest possible standard.
- Ensure machinery is fully PDI’d and tested prior to delivery.
- Attend site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
- Be self‑disciplined, proactive, and hardworking.
- Demonstrate high interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work to deadlines and delivery dates.
- Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met/exceeded.
- Escalate any build anomalies to relevant persons.
- Provide on‑site commissioning and customer training.
Experience:
- Principally responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub‑ and main assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
- Manage and keep electronic parts lists accurate.
- Carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of Proseal equipment.
- General engineering tasks such as marking out, drilling, and tapping.
- Work on‑site or off‑site as requested and agreed.
Qualification:
- Time served with C&G or a modern apprenticeship.
