# **Field Service Engineer** **Adlington, Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK** ## **Your Role** We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused **Field Service Engineer** to join our growing Service team.As the technical face of JBTMarel, you will play a critical role in supporting customers through the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of our industry-leading tray sealing machinery. Using your electrical and engineering expertise, you will ensure equipment operates at peak performance while delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.## ## **What You'll Be Doing**Installation & Commissioning* Install and commission Proseal machinery at customer sites across your region* Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently prior to handover* Support machine upgrades and modifications where requiredService & Maintenance* Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise machine reliability and uptime* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively* Provide both on-site and remote technical support to customersCustomer Support & Training* Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer teams* Build strong relationships with customers through professional and responsive service* Ensure customer issues are resolved quickly and effectivelyBusiness Support* Identify opportunities for spare parts sales, service agreements, and equipment upgrades* Complete service documentation and reports accurately* Ensure all work is carried out in line with company procedures and Health & Safety standards ## **What You'll Bring**Essential* Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)* Experience working with automated machinery, ideally within a manufacturing or food production environment* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills* Mechanical fault-finding experience and understanding of machinery systems* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications* Full UK Driving Licence* Valid passport and willingness to travel when required* Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements Desirable* Experience within the food processing or packaging industry* Previous field service, commissioning, or maintenance engineering experience* Experience delivering customer training and technical support **Why Join Us?**At JBT Marel, you'll find more than just a job, you'll find an opportunity to build a rewarding career with a global leader in food technology.You'll benefit from: A supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities for career development and technical growth Recognition for your achievements and contribution Exposure to innovative technology and world-class equipment The opportunity to make a real impact for customers across the UK and beyond**About JBT Marel – Shape the Future of Food**At **JBT Marel**, we’re not just supporting the food industry — we’re helping to transform it.
