Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: 38 hours per week
Schedule: 4 Day Week – Monday to Thursday 06:00-16:00
Now is an exciting time to join JBT Marel, as we are busying up with orders, which gives us the opportunity to hire more Welder Fabricators.
The Opportunity
- Has the ability to understand drawings and work from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Accurately measuring and working to the tolerances.
- Competent with all hand and air tools (Grinders etc.).
- TIG welding to a high standard is essential and the ability to work to engineering drawings.
- MIG welding is a desirable
- Ensure work areas kept tidy.
- Strong communication skills
- Any other tasks required by Production Team
The successful candidate will have to demonstrate welding skills at weld test prior to starting. This will be carried out either on the date of interview or a pre-arranged date/time.
The work will be divided into various value streams and equipment categories, alongside batch production of component parts. This encompasses general sheet metalwork, light fabrications, and pipework primarily in steel and stainless steel. The individual will oversee a range of fabrication projects from inception to completion, maintaining a high standard of quality both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Required experience
- Time served Welder/Fabricator – Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Driving licence preferred but not required
