Proseal UK Ltd designs and manufactures high-quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry. Established for over 20 years, demand for Proseal products is growing, and we are responsible for developing many plastic-based alternatives for preserving the life of and carrying food safely.

Shift Pattern/Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. A total of 40 hours per week.

Main Purpose of Job: This role is suited to a driven and self-motivated individual who will be the first production step within our end-to-end delivery of food packaging machinery. As part of a small team, you will be tasked with the preparation and delivery of components to shop floor production, dispatching components and products for aftermarket care, and receiving/booking in deliveries on the ERP system. You will be problem solving, discrepancy reporting, and stocktaking to ensure accuracy of both kits and storage locations within the stores area, utilising both Sage and a bespoke ERP system.

You will be a point of contact in supporting multiple production teams, ensuring they have the components and raw materials to meet their deadlines and will be liaising with on-site logistics teams to aid in the movement of components across the site. You will be responsible for adhering to safe working practices, manual handling regulations, and upholding a high standard of Health and Safety across the site.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Adhering to a high standard of Health and Safety and housekeeping
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement and H+S reporting functions
  • Manual handling of stock/products following best practices
  • Use of pallet trucks and other safe lifting equipment
  • Cycle counting and stocktaking
  • Collation of parts into kit form for delivery to production and aftermarket functions
  • Booking of components in/out on ERP software
  • Fulfilment and digital location of BOMs
  • Efficiently and accurately packing of components and products for shipping
  • Booking of domestic and international parcel pick-ups with third-party couriers
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all warehouse-related administrative tasks
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, delivery issues, and order fulfilment concerns
  • Checking and reporting damage and quality issues
  • Communicating with other departments

Aptitudes Required:

  • Strong belief in always adhering to Health and Safety regulations
  • Essential to hold a full UK Driving License
  • IT and MS Office literate
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple tasks and deliver results to a defined deadline
  • Good organisation and time management with a keen eye for detail
  • Can-do attitude, proactive approach to work
  • Flexible to help achieve deadlines
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing organisation
  • Experience in a warehousing/stores focused role
  • Health and Safety knowledge
  • FLT experience would be highly advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate
