Understand and convey the customer value of JBT products, ensuring individual customer requirements are met, providing technical expertise & support to the sales team & customers. Support in quoting of new opportunities in cases of non-standard equipment (multiple assets) and drive coordination.
The Opportunity
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and clearly communicate the customer value of JBT products to customers and sales teams
- Ensure customer requirements and needs are fully understood and accurately translated into product requirements
- Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of the JBT products which they are responsible for, including their relationship to other product lines
- Train account managers on new products and features to ensure they are well equipped to consult customers
- Prepare & deliver technical presentations & demonstrations to customers
Sales Process
- Act as coordinator for complex/multi equipment quoting processes, requesting information from counterparts and driving the conclusion
- Support of Account Manager and Business Development Manager in responding to technical queries and providing detailed product knowledge (especially price estimation)
- Run tests with customers; estimate additional cost and effort in cases of complex quotes (adaptations, non-standard installation)
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure product specifications and project timelines meet customer expectations
- Conduct site visits jointly with responsible account manager for equipment layout creation and quote completion
Required Capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of JBT products and their applications in the industry; expert knowledge of industry technical standards & regulations
- Deep understanding of the customer\’s product requirements
- Innovation-driven mentality with strong motivation to meet (or exceed) customer expectations through optimal technical solution delivery
- Ability to think strategically and holistically, identifying long-term opportunities and focusing on value creation for the customer
Interaction & Interpersonal Skills
- Experience in customer management (growing & maintaining strong customer relations)
- Flexibility to travel to individual customers
- Ability to translate complex technical details into accessible information for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers, engineers, & ops
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions in real-time during customer interactions
