JBT Marel is looking for a highly skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer (International Specialist) to join our team in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to act as a global technical expert supporting advanced End of Line equipment, working on complex escalations and large-scale international installations. You will play a critical role in resolving high-level technical issues, supporting field teams worldwide, and driving continuous improvement across our global service operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead advanced fault finding and diagnostics on complex electromechanical systems, including firmware updates and system-level debugging.
  • Own and resolve escalated Level 3 technical issues, driving root cause analysis through to permanent resolution.
  • Support and lead large-scale international installations, ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and customer acceptance criteria.
  • Provide structured technical guidance and mentorship to Field Service Engineers globally.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams during installation and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activities, lessons learned, and improvements within Salesforce / ServiceMax and internal systems.
  • Identify recurring issues and drive continuous improvement through feedback, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

  • Strong electrical background with solid mechanical understanding and ideally some software or controls experience.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or engineering environments.
  • Proven experience working on complex machinery in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience with CRM/service tools such as Salesforce or ServiceMax.
  • Strong background in electromechanical systems, with experience in diagnostics and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, networking, or system integration is an advantage.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Valid UK passport and full driving licence.

Travel & Location

Based in the UK, supporting customers globally. Travel requirement of up to 50% internationally (typically 130+ days per year). Typical travel duration of 5–15 days, with occasional extended trips for long-distance regions. Flexibility required for weekend travel, emergency response, and on-call support. Travel conducted in line with company safety guidelines.
