We are growing our Prepared Foods EMEA Sourcing team and are therefore looking for a Category Manager to join us in Adlington. As a member of the PF Sourcing team, you will work closely with all functions within JBT Marel PF, developing and executing sourcing strategies for key direct categories and delivering innovation, excellent cost, delivery, and quality.
You will lead the source-to-contract process and be an integral part of our development projects, including supply market research, supplier qualification, early supplier involvement, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting. A key responsibility is managing supplier relationships within the category area to achieve excellent performance, continuous improvements, and cost reductions from a preferred supplier base. To identify opportunities, you will act as a change agent and lead the implementation of cost-reduction and value-increasing initiatives within the supply chain, achieving our aggressive targets. With an international supplier base, you will be expected to travel approximately 40 days per year.
We expect you to be goal-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, and able to continuously improve and solve problems. Negotiation skills and business acumen are key strengths; an interest in technology and manufacturing is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Business.
- Experienced sourcing professional with a background in an international manufacturing organization and sourcing environment.
- Sourcing experience in Eastern Europe is a merit.
- Excellent communication in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
