JBS Australia’s Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.

We are interested in speaking to applicants who have an interest in working within a production facility starting in late September 2026. We are recruiting for 200 positions. This is an entry level position based at our site in Brooklyn, Melbourne, VIC with the opportunity to upskill, progress in your role and increase your hourly rate including training and development opportunities. The hourly rate is $26.9934 (level 6) as per the JBS Australia Pty Ltd Brooklyn Enterprise Agreement 2018.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling raw meat and animal bi-products
  • Physical repetitive labour and heavy lifting
  • Trimming, packing or labelling and cleaning
  • Machine operations

About you:

  • Work well in a team environment
  • Looking for a stable ongoing 40 hours per week
  • Have reliable transport
  • Ability to take part in physical work
  • Ability to work in a chilled environment
  • Availability on the AM shift starting at 5am or afternoon shift starting at 1:30pm Monday to Friday only, with the opportunity of overtime
  • Able to work in freezer environment if required
