Role Description

This full-time hybrid role, based in Bournemouth, is for a Personal Injury Fee Earner handling Claimant Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters.

The role involves managing a caseload of RTA personal injury claims from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, including taking detailed client statements, assessing liability, and gathering evidence.

The Personal Injury Fee Earner will draft correspondence and legal documents, negotiate with insurers and opposing representatives, and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and time limits.

The role also includes maintaining accurate file records, updating clients regularly on case progress, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet performance and service targets.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing claimant RTA and personal injury files, including pre-litigation and litigated matters, with a solid understanding of relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Strong legal drafting and written communication skills for preparing letters of claim, witness statements, schedules of loss, and court documents.
  • Effective client care and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, explain legal issues clearly, and handle sensitive situations professionally.
