Due to expansion of the business, we now have an opportunity for a Qualified HGV Technician to join our workshop business in Sittingbourne Kent. We are a family run business who believe in looking after our employees and providing good services to both our own fleet and our customers' vehicles and trailers. The workshop team are all friendly and helpful so it's easy to get settled in the new job role. Excellent rates of pay which is based on experience and qualifications held.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on both HGV & Trailers
- Fast and accurate fault diagnosis using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Following company processes by completing all relevant paperwork
- Completing thorough safety checks and preparing vehicles for MOTs
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:
- City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- Proven work experience in diagnostics and problem solving, servicing and maintenance on various marques of trucks and trailers.
- LGV C + E licence beneficial, not essential. After your probation period we can put you through your class 1 licence subject to contract.
- Welding & Fabrication skills are an advantage, but training will be provided
WORKING HOURS:
- Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm (with paid breaks)
- Plus Rotating weekly shift option available if required 6am to 16.00 / 10am to 20.00 (This holds an additional Shift Bonus)
- Some flexibility during the week to carry out overtime as and when may be required.
Rates of pay negotiable dependant on experience.
