The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing JBM’s full marketing strategy across all festivals and event brands. You’ll lead a growing in-house team, oversee external agencies, and work directly with the Directors to drive audience growth, strengthen brand identity, and deliver record-breaking campaigns. This is a senior role that requires both creative leadership and commercial focus. You’ll combine brand storytelling with data-led decision-making, ensuring each campaign connects authentically with audiences while delivering strong ROI and sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and vision for all JBM marketing campaigns — from concept through delivery — across digital, social, outdoor, print, PR, and partnerships.
- Oversee campaign planning for each event, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Develop brand identities and tone of voice for each festival and event, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Manage, mentor, and grow the in-house marketing team (designers, execs, content creators, etc.) to achieve high performance and creativity.
- Coordinate and oversee agencies (PR, media buying, paid social, creative) to ensure cohesive strategy and maximum impact.
- Build integrated campaign calendars that align with ticketing timelines, artist announcements, and partner activations.
- Analyse performance metrics (sales, engagement, ROI) to optimise campaigns and report results to Directors.
- Lead digital strategy, including paid media, influencer collaborations, CRM, SEO, and email marketing.
- Identify growth opportunities, brand partnerships, and sponsorship alignment to elevate JBM’s reach and revenue.
- Represent JBM externally at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record of leading marketing for major festivals, events, or entertainment brands (essential)
- Experience managing six-figure campaign budgets and delivering ROI-focused results
- Confident in brand positioning, creative storytelling, and audience engagement
- Deep understanding of UK music culture, digital trends, and the festival landscape
- Experience managing and inspiring creative and marketing teams
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate strategy into action
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at events and festivals across the UK
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of senior-level marketing experience (ideally within festivals, music, or entertainment)
- Demonstrable success in digital marketing, PR, brand strategy, and media planning
- Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and CRM tools
- Strong presentation and reporting skills
