JBMI Group Ltd are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Multiskilled Technician / Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team at our Kingsilver Refinery site in Hixon. This is a hands-on maintenance role in a heavy industrial environment, ideal for someone with experience maintaining production equipment who is keen to develop their skills further.
About JBMI Group Ltd: JBMI Group Ltd has over 40 years experience in aluminium ingot manufacturing and dross recycling. We produce bespoke aluminium alloys for a wide range of industrial applications and are ISO 9001 certified, currently working towards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
The Role: As a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and site equipment. You will report directly to the Shift Foreman, overseen by the Engineering Manager helping ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site. The role can progress into being a team leader with potential career progression available to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair
- Maintenance of plant equipment including:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Conveyors, Crushers, Furnaces, Mills & Mobile plant equipment
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Recognised engineering, electrical or mechanical qualification
- NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering / time served apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
- 5 years experience maintaining plant or production equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience in heavy industry such as:
- Foundry
- Recycling
- Quarry / aggregates
- Process manufacturing
