The Role: Foundry Operative
- Plant Operation
- Monitor the pouring of molten metal into moulds and other forms to create castings with the help of ladles and hand-operated equipment.
- Carefully track the temperature gauges and colour, heating units, furnace flames, etc. to melt metal as per requirements.
- Adjust extra metal and skim slag in ingots or equipment with strainers, burners, and other hand tools.
- Ensure that water is circulated through the cores or water is sprayed on filled moulds to create a solid metal product.
- Build sand moulds for castings with roto-lifts, induction furnaces and jolt squeeze machines.

Candidates must:
- Have Counterbalance FLT License
- Ability to complete low level maintenance
- Be environmentally Aware
- Be computer literate (MS Office: Word and Excel Intermediate)
- Previous work experience in heavy industry manufacturing environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.
