Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Conveyancing Solicitor role based in Rochdale.

The role involves managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, including freehold and leasehold transactions, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.

Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, carrying out title checks and searches, liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors, and ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.

The Conveyancing Solicitor will provide clear, timely legal advice, maintain accurate file management and case records, and contribute to the firm’s client care standards.

The role also includes supporting business development activities, such as maintaining strong local professional relationships and promoting the firm’s services.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in Law and Conveyancing, with the ability to independently manage a residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Familiarity with related practice areas such as Commercial Real Estate, Family Law, and Labor and Employment Law is beneficial for cross-referrals and holistic client service.
  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification) with current practising certificate and at least 5 years PQE in a UK law firm or conveyancing practice.
  • Proficiency with legal case management systems and up-to-date conveyancing procedures, Land Registry requirements, and AML/compliance regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Client-focused approach, with a commitment to high standards of service, professionalism, and ethical practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment while taking ownership of files and decisions.
