We are working with an established commercial branding and signage manufacturer that is looking to strengthen its production team at its Leeds manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on fabrication role with additional team leadership responsibilities. You will be involved in the manufacture of signage and associated metalwork, working primarily with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The workload includes both bespoke manufacture and repeat production for larger rollout programmes. Key responsibilities * Working as part of a busy manufacturing team * Fabricating signage and associated metal products * Sheet metal fabrication * Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium * Supporting the Workshop Manager with day-to-day production activity * Delegating workload across the wider team where required * Maintaining quality standards across completed work * Adapting to different project requirements as work moves through the workshop * Remaining hands-on and assisting with general workshop duties when required Person specification * Several years’ experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment * Previous signage manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but is not essential * Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment * Some experience supervising, coordinating or supporting other members of a workshop team would be beneficial * Willing to assist with wider workshop and labouring duties when required * Able to commute reliably to Leeds Job details * Full-time, permanent position * 39-hour working week * Monday to Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm * Friday: early finish at 3:30pm * 21 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays * Christmas shutdown included within the holiday structure
