We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate to take a leading role in complex property litigation matters and support the development of junior lawyers. This role is suited to a proven specialist in residential leasehold and landlord & tenant disputes who can contribute immediately, while continuing to develop their technical and leadership capability.
About the Team
Our Property Litigation team is recognised for its technical depth in leasehold and landlord & tenant disputes, advising on high-volume portfolios as well as complex, high-value litigation. We combine specialist expertise with a collaborative culture and clear progression pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on complex and high-value litigation matters
- Provide strategic legal advice across a broad range of property disputes
- Act as a key escalation point for technical issues
- Supervise and mentor Associates, NQs and trainees
- Manage client relationships and contribute to retention and growth
- Represent clients in Tribunal and Court proceedings
Required Experience
Candidates must have strong, demonstrable experience in:
- Property litigation with a focus on residential leasehold portfolios
- Complex service charge disputes and forfeiture actions
- Advocacy or regular conduct of cases in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
- Advising on landlord and tenant issues at scale
Highly desirable:
- Building Safety Act and associated litigation
- Remediation Orders / Contribution Orders
- Leasehold reform legislation, including the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024
- Strategic asset management-related disputes
About You
- Recognised for strong technical expertise in property litigation
- Confident managing complex caseloads with minimal supervision
- Experienced in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
- Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills
