We’re looking for a solicitor to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team, overseeing the commencement of claims that are transferred from our collections function on a high volume basis. This role offers a strong blend of legal oversight, case strategy, and team supervision, with responsibility for ensuring claims are progressed efficiently from issue through to enforcement.
The Role
- Working closely with our Collections teams, you’ll act as a legal escalation point, while also supporting and developing a team responsible for reviewing cases for issue, preparing and submitting claims, obtaining and enforcing County Court judgments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, review, and issuing of claims within the Litigation Team
- Provide legal direction on case strategy, progression, judgment, and enforcement
- Authorise claims, judgments, and enforcement actions in consideration of client instructions
- Ensure compliance with CPR, SRA requirements, and internal standards
- Monitor case progress and intervene where matters stall or require escalation
- Assess cases for enforcement and oversee activity through to resolution
- Act as a legal escalation point for client queries and complex matters
- Supervise, coach, and support your team
- Deliver training on legal processes, quality, and compliance
- Work closely with the Collections department to ensure smooth case flow into litigation
- Track and report on processes, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) (property and/or civil litigation preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of claims processes, CPR and enforcement
- Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
- Comfortable working in a high-volume litigation environment
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Clear and confident communicator, able to provide practical legal guidance
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities
