About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-value mechanical projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of Mechanical projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports, highlighting key metrics, progress, and any issues.
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience managing mechanical or M&E projects from inception through to completion.
  • Strong project planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage project programmes, ensuring works are delivered in line with agreed timescales, milestones, and client expectations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • High Commercial awareness, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to multi-task complicated actions.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Strong Negotiation skills.

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • PRINCE2, APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Membership of a professional body such as CIBSE, IMechE, or APM.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
