About the role

As the Entertainment Technical Manager you will be managing the on-board technical team and overseeing the delivery and technical needs of the entertainment product in all venues across the ship. You will work with the latest entertainment technology and share your experience and knowledge with team members in order to provide the highest standards across the vessel. You show strong leadership skills and identify opportunities to support and develop your team members as well as being the point of contact for all entertainment technical queries onboard. Working closely with the senior management and all departments you will help to deliver high quality West End-style production shows in the 'Broadway Show Lounge', exciting events on the open decks as well as nightly gameshows in the 'Squid & Anchor' lounge and other live music venues onboard. You will support the entire Entertainment Technical Team and manage the scheduling for the day-to-day operation across the ship.

Skills and experience

For this role you must have a strong technical management background, preferably on board cruise ships. You must have experience in operating sound, lighting and stage equipment and leading a team. You will be highly organised, experienced in creating and managing busy schedules as well as thinking fast and problem solving on the spot when things inevitably change. Working closely with the Cruise Director, Assistant Cruise Director and Hotel Director you will ensure the entertainment product onboard is not only delivered but enhances the passenger experience. Experience in enforcing H&S procedures and working with other departments to produce daily and weekly rotas and complete reports in a timely manner is essential. Previous sea-going experience is essential.

Contract information

The contract period for this role is from 4-6 Months with competitive pay, all meals and single occupancy cabin. All applicants must hold valid STCW certification (or be willing to obtain these) as well as an ENG1 or PEME seafarer medical certificate.
