Jazz Pharmaceuticals is undertaking a bold, enterprise-wide transformation to reimagine our operating model and build a patient‑centric, agile, and scalable rare disease organization delivering differentiated, precise customer experiences. The Executive Director, Enterprise Transformation- Tech Ops and G&A is a senior, enterprise leader responsible for setting direction and driving execution of one or more mission‑critical transformation programs that shape the future of Jazz. This role operates as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Executive Committee (EC), with accountability for designing, orchestrating, and embedding large‑scale change across functions. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact executive role for a leader who operates comfortably at the most senior levels of the organization, influences without authority, and balances strategic vision with hands‑on execution. The Executive Director will lead complex, multi‑year initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and challenge the status quo to deliver measurable, sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Transformation Strategy & Vision: Translate Jazz’s enterprise transformation vision into integrated, multi‑year strategies, roadmaps, and value cases across assigned functional or enterprise domains. Partner with the Chief Transformation Officer and EC members to identify, prioritize, and shape transformation initiatives that drive a high performing organization, growth, patient impact and cost efficiency. Define future‑state operating models considering portfolio evolution, market dynamics, digital enablement, and organizational capabilities.
- End‑to‑End Transformation Leadership: Serve as accountable executive owner for major transformation programs, with responsibility for outcomes from concept through full‑scale implementation and sustainment. Lead complex initiatives spanning multiple workstreams, functions, and geographies, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives and interdependencies. Oversee design and implementation of new ways of working, including structure, governance, decision rights, processes, incentives, capabilities, and technology.
- Executive Partnership & Influence: Act as a thought partner and challenger to senior leaders, providing objective insight, rigorous analytics, and scenario‑based recommendations. Engage in productive challenge with EC members and functional leaders to drive alignment, resolve trade‑offs, and accelerate decision‑making. Represent transformation progress, risks, and outcomes to the Executive Committee and other senior governance forums.
- Change Leadership & Organizational Adoption: Set the change agenda and ensure deep, lasting embedding of transformation outcomes across Jazz. Lead enterprise‑wide change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communications, capability building, and cultural reinforcement. Anticipate and actively manage resistance, enabling leaders and teams to adopt new mindsets and behaviours aligned with a customer‑ and patient‑first orientation.
- Cross‑Functional & Matrix Leadership: Lead and develop matrixed transformation teams and workstream leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Partner closely with executive leaders of assigned functions (e.g., R&D, Commercial, G&A, Digital) to ensure seamless integration and execution of transformation initiatives. Model enterprise thinking and drive solutions that optimize outcomes for Jazz as a whole, not individual functions.
- Performance Management & Value Delivery: Define enterprise‑level KPIs, success metrics, and value realization plans linked to transformation objectives. Monitor progress rigorously, course‑correct as needed, and ensure delivery of committed outcomes. Provide transparent, executive‑level reporting on milestones, risks, and impact.
