As an Intern in our Product Design Team, you will be embedded in the design process for our Construction Brand - BLDR. You will move through the entire product lifecycle—from initial brainstorming to final digital renderings—collaborating closely with senior designers to bring innovative products to market.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and contribute to the creation of innovative toy concepts that align with market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Utilize your artistic skills to create sketches and digital renderings of toy concepts, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet the design specifications.
  • Gain hands-on experience in creating 3D models of toy designs using industry-standard software, ensuring accuracy and feasibility for mass production.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other departments, including Brand, Packaging, Scheduling, and Product Development to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the product development process.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of detailed Product Design Specifications for manufacturing, ensuring clear communication of design intent and requirements to the production team.
  • Participate in the review process of physical samples and sculptures, providing feedback on design elements, functionality, and overall quality.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to contribute valuable insights to the design team.

What we are looking for:

  • A genuine passion for Toy Design and Pop Culture, with a specific interest in Construction toys.
  • Technical Proficiency in digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) and 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g., ZBrush, Rhino, SolidWorks, or Keyshot) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a desire to learn the technical constraints of manufacturing, articulation, and safety standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, presenting creative ideas clearly and taking constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Solid time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Open to rising seniors in high school, undergraduate, or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited institution.
  • Must not have graduated prior to March 2026.
  • Must be able to commit to the full 10-week program, working onsite Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays, for a total of 40 hours per week.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Must be able to commute to the internship location for the duration of the program.
  • Must successfully pass a background check as part of the hiring process.

What we offer:

  • Paid internship ranging from $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on education level.
  • Hybrid schedule: Onsite Monday–Thursday, remote on Fridays.
  • 10-week duration (Summer 2026) | 40 hours per week | June 8th - August 14th.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to real projects within a dynamic, creative company.
