As an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst Level 1, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data interchange systems at Jazwares. You will analyze business needs to develop efficient data transfer processes between internal departments and external partners. Additionally, you will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of EDI systems while providing training to end-users.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for internal and external stakeholders on EDI-related issues.
  • Monitor, audit, and maintain interfaces between business systems, ensuring seamless data exchanges with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and EDI vendors to drive supplier onboarding and optimize transaction processing.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex EDI issues, coordinating with technical and business teams as needed.
  • Provide on-call technical support for production EDI systems.
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of new EDI applications, maps, and processes throughout their lifecycle.
  • Oversee day-to-day EDI and batch processes, proactively identifying and resolving issues while tracking activity metrics for senior management.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap for EDI advancements.
  • Drive continuous process improvements for EDI workflows, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including supplier integration mappings, process guidelines, and audit reports.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with trading partner requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in EDI or related technical field.
  • UX design experience is a plus (or commensurate mix of experience and education).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO’s)

  • Proficiency in software programming and coding languages, including C++, Java, XML, CSV, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and architecture.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDI transaction codes (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 860, 940, 945) or equivalent supply chain transaction experience.
  • Experience with common connectivity methods for EDI and working with Value-Added Networks (VANs).
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience providing end-user training.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.

Working Conditions

  • Extreme Exposures: none
  • Schedule: Typically requires regular office hours, but may require calls with global counterparts outside of regular office hours.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Travel Required: National or International travel may occasionally be required.
