We’re looking for a Senior Content Manager who is as enthusiastic and creative as they are strategically driven, to join the growing search content arm of our team. This is a role for someone who thrives in the fast‑paced, ever‑evolving world of organic content and SEO, and understands how to build end‑to‑end results‑focused strategies that perform across search engines, LLMs and social media platforms. This role would suit a person with at least three to five years’ experience as a Content Manager in agency.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and lead content strategy across a portfolio of high‑profile client accounts, as well as for internal websites across the Stubben Edge parent group, ensuring activity delivers against commercial objectives.
- Translate search trends, audience insights, platform trends and performance analysis into smart, actionable content opportunities.
- Drive integrated campaign planning with PR, social and creative teams to create content that performs natively across channels.
- Lead client relationships from a content perspective, presenting strategies, reporting on performance and confidently handling senior stakeholder conversations.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, creating a supportive environment focused on development, accountability and progression.
- Review and refine content output to ensure consistently high editorial standards, strong brand alignment and channel‑appropriate messaging.
- Introduce and improve scalable workflows, processes and quality controls that increase efficiency without compromising creativity.
- Identify opportunities to use innovative new tools to enhance content operations, research and ideation in a meaningful and responsible way.
- Support strategic problem‑solving across the wider content team, helping unblock challenges and improve quality of delivery.
- Monitor industry changes, test new approaches and share learnings internally to help us stay at the forefront of organic content innovation.
- Contribute to agency growth through pitch support, research and efficiency building.
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape the future direction of our search content offering.
- Champion a collaborative, ambitious and people‑first team culture that encourages confidence, curiosity and continuous improvement.
Skills required:
- Experience building and activating successful search content strategies from end to end.
- Experience using key 3rd party industry tools to analyse trends and client performance across search engines, LLMs and social channels, in order to develop and enhance strategies. Specific tools that would be beneficial would include SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and with clients.
- Outstanding writing skills, adaptable to different industries, tones of voice and audience needs.
- Advanced organic search optimisation skills, and knowledge of working in the key search landscapes. LLM and social search experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to multitask, juggling your team’s requests for support alongside your own responsibilities.
- Capacity to prioritise and react at short notice.
- A passion for learning and development.
- An appreciation for organic content in all its forms.
The ideal candidate will bring in-depth understanding of search landscapes and their algorithms, with an enthusiastic aptitude for using data insights intelligently. You’ll work closely with our PR, organic social, paid social and creative teams to adapt content planning for native activations, ensuring authentic brand communication and rewarding returns for our clients. We want to see equal passion for collaborative leadership; helping your line reports to succeed and progress, and empowering them to do their best work. Excellent copywriting and editing should be your heartland, so you can support the team on content creation and preserve our highest of standards across their own work.
This role also requires someone skilled in building and evolving agile and innovative content approaches that can flex with changing landscapes, client challenges and industry requirements. You’ll be excited by the opportunities that AI tools present, using them thoughtfully to drive efficiency and scale, without sacrificing the creativity, originality and human insight that make great content effective.
Our new Senior Content Manager will be in charge of strategic planning, content writing, QA and delivery for several of our largest accounts, as well as reporting and regular client communications. This includes quarterly business reviews, where you’ll present performance and strategic updates. Naturally, good verbal communication skills are a must. You’ll also oversee production and delivery across your line reports’ accounts, supporting them with strategic problem‑solving and more.
In taking this role, you will be expected to stay abreast of search industry updates and changes, and support the Head of Content and Head of PR & Content Activation in adapting our product approach and processes in line with these. Your knowledge will ensure best‑in‑class delivery that instils confidence in our clients, and allow you to support the Head of Content and Head of PR & Content Activation across new business pitches. You’ll be expected to actively contribute to solution ideation; whether that’s recommending a proprietary tool for our Data & Innovation team to build or suggesting a first‑party study that will help us maintain our best‑in‑class approach.
