We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Designer to join our creative team on a one-year contract. In this role, you’ll take the lead in conceptualising, creating and delivering high-quality designs and visuals across a wide range of projects and formats. You’ll be involved in every stage of the creative process, from research and concept exploration through to design development, refinement and final rollout in partnership with our Production and Web Development teams - including presenting and rationalising your approach to colleagues and clients. As a senior member of the team, you’ll help shape creative thinking, guide junior team members, and ensure work is delivered to the highest standards. Your portfolio should demonstrate exceptional creative ideas and execution across brand and print design, campaign development, digital and UX design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creative development across multiple briefs, collaborating closely with creative directors, copywriters, art directors and production.
- Confidently present concepts and design work to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work effectively with colleagues across Client Services, Strategy, UX & Digital and Technical-Development to drive impactful solutions that balance business objectives with user needs.
- Support and mentor junior team members where needed, maintaining high creative standards across projects.
- Attend our Leeds HQ a couple of days each week (hybrid working).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient workflow and smooth handovers where required.
- Demonstrate strong time-management skills and consistently hit deadlines.
- Contribute proactively to the creative department tea round.
Working with clients like HSBC, Yorkshire tea, Pizza Express, ADT and Castrol.
Skills & Experience Required
- A portfolio showcasing standout creative thinking and polished execution across digital, brand, print and web.
- Advanced working knowledge of Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of usability, interaction design, and mobile best practice for responsive webpage design.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to take feedback constructively and help elevate the work of others.
- Experience supporting content creation for digital and social.
- Service, product and interaction-design experience.
- Photoshoot (location and planning) experience.
