The Role
The Digital Analytics Implementation Consultant will be a hands-on expert responsible for end-to-end technical implementation and optimisation of web and marketing tracking technologies for our clients.
This is a highly technical, client-facing role that requires advanced configuration and troubleshooting of JavaScript-based tracking tags, ensuring pixel-perfect data layer integrity and maximum data fidelity to inform marketing strategies.
This role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving, and client communication, ensuring the accurate and effective collection of data to inform marketing strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for digital analytics, with a particular emphasis on Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and marketing pixel implementation.

- Expert Hands-on Implementation: You must have 2+ years of hands-on experience leading the technical implementation and configuration of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for enterprise-level websites. This is not a reporting-only role.
- Front-End Code Proficiency: You must be proficient enough in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to actively read, debug, and write custom code within GTM for advanced tracking and data layer manipulation.
- Marketing Pixel Expertise: You must have a proven ability to implement, troubleshoot, and validate various marketing pixels (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) directly through a Tag Management System.
Responsibilities
Analytics Implementation & Execution
- Lead the implementation and configuration of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and various marketing pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance processes
- Design and implement comprehensive measurement plans to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, Social Media, etc.)
- Proactively identify and resolve complex tracking issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and analyse data from GA4 and other sources to identify trends and insights related to tracking implementation, data quality, and user behaviour
- Contribute to the development and automation of reports and dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio to monitor client performance and track the effectiveness of tracking configurations
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimise tracking setups, enhance data collection strategies, and improve the overall quality of analytics insights
Client Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for retainer and project Clients regarding their tracking and data-related needs, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into clear, actionable tracking and measurement plans
- Present tracking solutions, findings, and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner, ensuring client understanding and confidence
- Manage client expectations, project timelines, and deliverables effectively
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the development of innovative tracking methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Identify opportunities to leverage data and technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the agency\’s tracking processes
- Maintain a strong understanding of the latest tracking trends, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a digital analytics role, preferably within a marketing agency
- Stronger candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a client-facing digital analytics role, with a proven history of leading data layer, tag management and GA/GTM implementation projects for large-scale websites, preferably in a client-facing agency environment.
Technical Skills:
- Mandatory: Expert-level mastery of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), including advanced configuration and troubleshooting. Ideally knowledge of custom JavaScript tracking, server-side tagging, advanced e-commerce configurations, and custom template development
- Experience with other Tag Management Systems (Tealium, Adobe Launch) is a significant advantage.
- Proven ability to implement and troubleshoot various marketing pixels (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Deep practical expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and other web technologies relevant to tracking implementation (e.g., dataLayer, DOM manipulation)
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis using spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel)
- SQL skills are required for debugging and data quality validation purposes.
- Comprehensive understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR) and best practices for ethical data collection and usage (e.g. Google Consent Mode)
