We're looking for a driven and technically strong SEO Manager who thrives on the challenge that organic search presents, isn't afraid to try new approaches, and has a track record of delivering growth for clients. You'll be adept at all aspects of SEO strategy and confident in AI-powered search optimisation, with the ability to inspire confidence in both clients and the team around you.

Working as part of an integrated Media department, you'll be empowered to deliver clear strategies that drive real business growth for clients, collaborating with specialists across content, PR and social to support on-site activity.
As SEO Manager, you'll lead on client strategies covering each area of search performance, technical, content and amplification and emerging AI platforms, to consistently drive growth, planning quarterly and annual objectives for clients based on their business challenges and communicating how they can achieve these in line with budgets. You’ll be expected to be able to pull together cross-channel proposals with multi-discipline teams.
A key part of this role is staying ahead of how search is evolving. AI is reshaping how search, with AI platforms increasingly influencing brand visibility. You will help clients navigate and capitalise on this shift as part of their search strategy. This role would suit someone with experience in a dynamic agency environment and a strong background in technical SEO who is excited about where search is heading.
Key Responsibilities:- Build client SEO strategies incorporating on-site and earned media actions, with the ability to recommend alternative or additional channels where required.
- Lead GEO visibility strategy for clients, developing approaches to ensure brands are cited and represented within AI-generated search results across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
- Analyse and report on the impact of SEO strategies, including tying specific tactics back to performance changes, through monthly reports and strategy evolution.
- Present results to clients in monthly, all-agency and board meetings, winning confidence and developing long-term relationships.
- Integrate client strategies across Organic Media to drive consistent outcomes across content, PR and SEO activity.
- Manage budgets and create monthly and quarterly activity plans, alongside resource planning within your client teams.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of your own work, from research and analysis to reporting and content workflows.
- Collaborate with the team to improve the agencies Organic Media offering, including tools, processes and integration across digital channels.
- In-depth knowledge of organic search, including technical optimisation, content strategy, off-site and PR.
- Understanding of AI and LLM search optimisation, including how large language models source and cite content, entity-based SEO, structured data, and strategies to improve brand visibility in generative AI results (GEO).
- Proficiency across core SEO tools including Semrush or Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, and Looker Studio.
- Confident using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar) as part of day-to-day workflows, for research, analysis, briefing and operational efficiency.
- Strategic thinking at all times, building integration into all approaches and strategies.
- Strong strategy and project management experience.
- Experience in line management of junior team members, including personal development planning and execution.
- Commercial awareness, including budgeting, resource planning and financial reconciliation of clients.
- Data gathering and analysis, pulling insight from data to power recommendations.
- A willingness to experiment, learn, refine and adapt in a fast-moving discipline.
- Strong presentation skills including storytelling, insight vs. data, and confident delivery.
