All works based around South London and Surrey areas
We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder / Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be confident carrying out a wide range of building and carpentry work, with a good eye for detail and a professional approach to working on residential and/or commercial projects.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- General building and maintenance work
- First and second-fix carpentry
- Dorma installations
- Roof pitching
- Stud work, partitioning and timber framing
- Hanging doors, fitting architraves and skirting boards
- Roofing and basic repair work
- Plasterboarding and making good
- Fitting kitchens and other fixtures where required
- Carrying out repairs, alterations and refurbishments
- Reading and working from drawings where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working to a high standard of quality and health & safety
Requirements
- Previous experience as a General Builder / Carpenter
- Good practical building and carpentry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good attention to detail
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ/City & Guilds would be advantageous but are not essential
