Hybrid working model - 3 days a week in the office. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing organisation undergoing significant digital transformation and infrastructure modernisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising, securing and evolving the organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring systems remain resilient, scalable, and future-ready. This is not a traditional keep the lights on infrastructure role. The Infrastructure Engineer will be instrumental in reducing operational risk, strengthening cyber resilience, supporting ongoing Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and enabling future business growth through modern technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure modernisation and migration projects while maintaining business-as-usual operations
- Support and maintain Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and ongoing security hardening initiatives
- Act as an escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents where required
- Implement and maintain patching, backup, governance, and disaster recovery processes aligned with NCSC frameworks and best practice
- Ensure infrastructure performance, resilience, scalability, and high availability across core systems
- Establish proactive monitoring and preventative maintenance practices
- Identify and implement technologies that deliver measurable improvements
