Our client operates in the manufacturng sector and is seeking an experienced H&S Officer to join their team. As Health and Safety Officer you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the company’s health and safety improvement plans. Reporting to the department lead and working as part of a larger H&S team, this role involves collaborating closely with site managers, supervisors, and operators to drive positive changes in risk reduction efforts. Key responsibilities will include:- * Implementing risk improvement action plans to support operational improvement * Supporting risk assessment activities * Analysing and reporting health and safety performance to internal and external clients * Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation * Developing the occupational health and safety management system * Coaching employees to enhance their development and understanding of Health & Safety To be considered for this role you will need to have;- * Experience and understanding of Health & Safety * Excellent communication skills * Knowledge of audits and ISO * A qualification such as Nebosh or IOSH would be desirable * Knowledge of manufacturing would be desirable Please note this is an office based role so the ability to commute to Alfreton is essential. Benefits include a competitive salary of between £35,000 – £38,000 depending on experience, company pension, life assurance, 33days holiday per year (including stat holidays)
