Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Goods Inward Quality Inspector to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about product quality, enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in ensuring products meet the highest standards before entering production. Working closely with Quality & Engineering, you will play a key role in inspecting incoming materials, components and finished goods, ensuring compliance with specifications, customer requirements and industry standards.

Key duties:

  • Carrying out goods inward inspections on components, materials and finished products.
  • Performing dimensional inspections using a range of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Identifying, recording and managing non-conforming products.
  • Segregating defective materials and maintaining accurate non-conformance reports.
  • Supporting investigations into quality issues and assisting with root cause analysis.
  • Assessing incoming products and identifying any risks to quality or performance.
  • Maintaining accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inspection equipment, ensuring calibration requirements are met.
  • Following quality procedures and Health & Safety requirements at all times.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspection, Goods Inward Inspection, or Quality Assurance role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a variety of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to identify quality concerns and support problem-solving activities.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

This role is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week. Benefits include company pension, free onsite parking and opportunities for further development and progression.
