With over 35 years\β experience in retail, commercial, industrial installations and refurbishments, the Company has built a strong reputation for quality, efficiency and service. We are expanding and recruiting experienced professionals for the following role:
Quantity Surveyor β Internal Fit Out / Construction
Location: Head Office Based, Peterborough (Orton Southgate, Close to A1)
Hours: Full Time β Monday to Friday
Salary: Β£78,000 + per annum + Other Benefits
Pension: Workplace Company Pension Scheme
Our company prides itself on high standards, professionalism and quality of project delivery. We work with numerous high profile clients and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a canβdo attitude proven within the internal fit out sector.
The Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in driving the business revenue and growth initiatives. You will deliver key commercial projects alongside the existing Directors, using your commercial acumen, analytical and presentation skills to help provide recommendations, planning, guidance to others and drive change. You will need an entrepreneurial spirit and a high level of self-motivation to progress toward Director level and potential bonuses and profit related rewards.
Responsibilities
Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information is available to prepare costing documents
Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assess quotations upon receipt
Complete tender documents for submission and follow-up
Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post-contract matters
Preparation and submission of interim valuations
Site measurements
Maintain sub-contract database
Manage and value variations
Prepare and place subcontract orders and value subcontract accounts
Prepare and update external monthly valuations and final account forecasts
Monthly cost-value reconciliation reports
Preparation and submission of final accounts
Agreement and certification of sub-contractors interim valuations and final accounts
Completion and submission of PQQs
Identify cost savings and manage quality control
Preferred Qualities
Degree qualified (or currently studying the same)
JCT Contract understanding
Diligent numerical professional
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Full clean driving licence
High degree of personal motivation, enthusiastic and ambitious
Commercial acumen and financial astuteness
Proficient in sub-contractor negotiations
Ability to take-off quantities and formalise Bills of Quantities
Flexibility to work across all areas of the business to meet requirements and tight deadlines
Good negotiation skills
