Our client is seeking experienced Support Team Leaders to lead frontline teams across community-based supported living services. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage, mentor, and work alongside your team to deliver high-quality person-centered support that promotes independence and wellbeing.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing support teams to consistently deliver person-led care
  • Working shifts alongside your team, including on-call duties
  • Ensuring all support plans are implemented and individuals achieve their goals
  • Managing budgets, resources, and quality standards
  • Building relationships with individuals, families, and community partners
  • Maintaining CQC compliance and safeguarding standards
  • Coaching team members to develop their skills and confidence
  • Creating welcoming, homely environments that promote independence

About You

Essential:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards) - Level 3/4 considered with extensive experience
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions in community settings
  • Previous team leadership or management experience in social care
  • Strong understanding of person-led approaches and promoting independence
  • Knowledge of CQC standards, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Flexibility for shift work, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties
  • Full UK driving license with business use insurance
  • Track record of commitment and longevity in previous roles

Desirable:

  • MAPA training
  • Award in Education and Training (AET)
  • IOSH health and safety training
  • Experience in supported living (not care homes)
