An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art nursing home in Newcastle as a Clinical Deputy Home Manager. This pivotal leadership role offers the chance to shape clinical excellence from the very beginning, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily clinical operations, leading and developing the nursing team, and embedding a culture of compassionate, person-centred care. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in the overall clinical leadership and day-to-day management of the service
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective person-centred care in line with CQC standards and best practice guidelines
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the nursing and care teams, promoting professional development and clinical excellence
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, audits, and governance processes to continuously enhance care standards
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a strong culture of safety and accountability
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, external healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care delivery
- Support staff training, competency assessments, and performance management
About You
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC pin
- Proven experience in a clinical leadership or deputy management role within a nursing home or similar healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and safeguarding practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing clinical teams
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and compliance
- Calm, professional, and proactive approach to managing complex situations
- Passionate about delivering exceptional, person-centred care
