My client is a wellâestablished care provider operating nursing and residential care homes across the North East. They are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and are looking for a passionate and experienced Home Manager to lead one of their homes.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring residents receive outstanding care while leading and developing your team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will maintain regulatory compliance, drive occupancy, and create a warm, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing all aspects of the care home, maintaining 24âhour accountability
- Ensuring the highest standards of care through direct involvement, supervision, and auditing of care plans
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff to build a skilled and motivated team
- Managing budgets, rotas, and resources effectively
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs, and external healthcare professionals
- Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies
- Investigating complaints and incidents thoroughly and implementing improvements
- Actively marketing the home and working to maintain high occupancy levels
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of care home experience
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC PIN or NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership
- Proven management or supervisory experience in a care setting
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
- Confident in budget management, staff development, and care planning
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Satisfactory DBS check and references
