The Company Jayar Car Parts was established in 1976. The company was formed in Aylesford, Maidstone and remains the home town of Head Office today. The business is still family run and independently owned and has now grown to become one of the largest independent distributors of car parts & accessories with 47 branches across the South of England.
We are currently looking for an experienced maintenance person to look after our branches in Kent and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and be able to demonstrate proven work experience in the same field.
Main duties will include:
- Perform day to day maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, brickwork, tiling and decorating tasks.
- Oversee regular upkeep of the buildings.
- Coordinate with senior managers, vendors and contractors for larger repairs and renovation works.
- Ensure health & safety standards are followed.
Skills Required:
- Proven work experience as a Multi Trader or Maintenance Person.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to respond effectively to multiple priorities.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points.
This is a full-time role Monday β Friday 8am β 5.30pm. There is a possibility that you may have to work at branches outside of Kent, but accommodation will be provided. A company Van with fuel card is provided to travel to the various destinations.
