The Masons Table is one of Singapore's rarest event venues, set in the historic surroundings of the Masonic Hall, just steps away from Fort Canning. The venue hosts up to 160 seated or 350 standing guests in spacious and elegant surroundings. We are looking for a self-motivated and keen individual to join our events team, helping to deliver memorable experiences for our range of customers - from corporate events, to weddings, to parties and more.
Role Description
You will work closely with the Event Sales Manager and Events Operations Executives to coordinate events, from planning, to setup, to execution and finally, to clear up. You will liaise with the Culinary Director and kitchen team to ensure accurate and smooth delivery of our catering, from canapés to buffets and plated services. You will assist our customers, and will help lead the food and beverage service based on our customers' event orders. You will work closely with your team, but when required, you will work independently to manage the execution of smaller scale events.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in English (and any other language is a bonus).
- Any prior work experience in banqueting, events, F&B and/or hospitality roles.
- An understanding of customer service standards.
- An interest in hospitality and learning new techniques.
- A keen eye for detail and a self-starting, motivated attitude.
- Ability to carry moderately heavy items on occasion (tables, chairs, decorations).
- Ability to learn new systems, e.g. event management software, table planning software, Google Drive.
