My client is a leading food processing manufacturing engineering company dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient, and innovative solutions in the food industry. Due to expansion within their operations, they are establishing an in-house design department to enhance control, innovation, and efficiency within their engineering processes.
They are looking for a technically capable, commercially driven Project Sales Engineer to sell high-value machinery solutions and full turnkey projects. You will manage the sales process from initial enquiry through technical consultation, proposal, negotiation, and project handover, working closely with engineering and project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business with vegetable processors, packhouses, and food manufacturers
- Grow existing accounts and identify upgrade or expansion opportunities
- Carry out site visits and technical assessments to define tailored solutions
- Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations for full systems
- Negotiate contracts and close profitable deals
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Experience in technical or sales engineering within food processing, capital equipment, or agri-engineering
- Strong technical background (engineering, food technology, or equivalent experience)
- Proven success selling complex, high-value or turnkey solutions
- Excellent communication and commercial skills
- Willingness to travel across the UK with occasional European trips
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, including occasional travel to subcontractor sites or production facilities.
- Knowledge of vegetable processing equipment
- Turnkey project sales experience
