The predicted salary is between 20 - 25 £ per hour.

My client is a globally recognized manufacturer of commercial vehicles with over 600 employees based out of their sites across the world. Following the acquisition and reinvestment into their UK based operation, they are looking to expand quickly to deliver on existing sales commitments, but also to aid the company to aggressively attract new business.

Based in their purpose-built North Cambridgeshire home, they are looking to engage the services of an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join them on a 2-3 months (maybe longer) temporary basis. With new work wins coming down the line, and work in the bays ready to go, they need contract support whilst they decide on the correct staffing levels in the business to cope with the growing demand.

Ideally you will have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and be qualified to at least NVQ or Apprenticeship level in Welding or Fabrication. You will have a broad background in a variety of fabrication, welding and fitting techniques, and be able to work unsupervised on a wide range of problems. Using your knowledge, you will service and repair trailers, tanks and associated systems, but also be able to fabricate parts for upgrades and retrofits where required.

Knowledge of Commercial Vehicles is not essential, but strong TIG Aluminium skills are, and a weld test will be undertaken as part of the interview. What is key is your understanding that my client is looking not just for experience, but also the drive to learn new skills, contribute to a growing business's success, and to embrace the challenges of a niche engineering market.

In return, my client offers a very good hourly rate on a PAYE or LTD basis. If you are interested in this contract, please apply below or contact Kris Feaviour at Jaxdene Solutions.
