Role Overview
This customer-facing role involves diagnostics, servicing, installation, commissioning, and repair of diesel generator sets and related equipment at customer sites. You will deliver a professional, world-class service while working independently across the territory and liaising with manufacturers and contractors where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, install, and commission diesel generator sets
- Attend emergency breakdowns and call-outs
- Conduct site surveys and assist with project design
- Control system wiring and programming (PLC / Deep Sea / Deif)
- Load banking generators of all sizes
- Attend relevant technical training
- Willingness to work unsociable hours when required
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 minimum in Plant Engineering or similar
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
- 18th Edition (beneficial)
- Strong experience with hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and control systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote role
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Must live within 30 minutes of the depot/territory
