We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our London-based technology team and help shape the systems at the heart of a fast-moving global commodities business.
Sitting at the intersection of commodities trading and technology, this hands-on role offers the chance to work directly with traders, analysts and engineers.
You will build and enhance practical software that supports trading, logistics, accounting, financing and operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative Python developer who enjoys solving real-world problems and wants to develop deep expertise in commodities.

The team delivers and maintains the trading and risk-management systems used across the business, from front-office trading to logistics, accounting, financing and operations.
You will gain broad exposure to the commodities lifecycle while contributing to technology that has an immediate commercial impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deploy software that supports commodities trading, risk management and market-data processing, working closely with traders and operators to turn business needs into effective solutions.
- Write clean, scalable and maintainable code, primarily in Python 3.
- Partner with traders and quantitative analysts to understand strategies, identify opportunities and translate requirements into robust software.
- Enhance the reliability, performance and usability of applications across trading and operational workflows.
- Own well-defined development tasks from concept to delivery, communicating progress clearly and producing dependable solutions on time.
- Contribute ideas through technical design discussions and code reviews, and help strengthen our testing and software-development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 2 years embedded with users delivering production applications in financial services, commodities or comparable enterprise environments.
