The Role

The Green Carbon team at Javelin operates in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment and brings together industry leaders in the delivery of sustainable bioenergy solutions. The Commercial Analyst will play a key role within the team, supporting day‑to‑day execution of commercial and strategic activities, managing and coordinating a portfolio of high‑impact projects across Europe and Asia with a focus on driving operational efficiencies and continuous process improvement. The position requires strong analytical capability, commercial insight, and excellent presentation skills. The Commercial Analyst supports trading activities, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic cooperation initiatives, and helps drive internal processes to completion while strengthening supplier and customer relationships to ensure commercial performance and long‑term value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day execution of commercial and strategic initiatives within the Green Carbon team
  • Support a portfolio of projects across US, Europe and Asia
  • Conduct commercial and financial analysis to support decision‑making
  • Drive operational efficiencies and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide analytical and execution support for trading activities
  • Assist with acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic cooperation initiatives
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure timely completion of internal processes
  • Support commercial negotiations and transaction execution where required
  • Strengthen and maintain supplier and customer relationships
  • Monitor commercial performance and identify opportunities for value creation

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience and a strong understanding of the biocarbon or renewable energy markets
  • Experience in the sale of multiple products/ product lines in a complex international environment
  • Intrinsic motivation, results orientation, and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning, while communicating to stakeholders across the firm to ensure cohesion
  • High level of comfort analysing and visualising data in an easy‑to‑understand manner and drawing out relevant insights that can inform decision‑making processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with ease

Travel Requirements

The role is based full‑time in the London (Victoria) office, but occasional travel is required to customer locations.
