JasperRose have partnered with a prestigious luxury fashion house, looking for a Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist to take ownership of a high-volume, multi-entity UK payroll operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to step into a senior, hands-on role with real scope to influence process and drive improvement across the function.

Working in a team of three, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and fully compliant delivery of monthly payroll for 12 entities, covering over 1,000+ employees across head office and retail store staff, including operations in Jersey. The business runs SAP and Workday, with Workday integration still maturing, so you will play a key role in validating data integrity across both systems as the transition continues.

The Role

  • Full ownership of the monthly payroll cycle across 12 UK entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Oversee changes via Workday, including starters, leavers, and job changes
  • Manage complex payroll elements including commissions, bonuses, unpaid sickness and absence, maternity, and paternity pay
  • Manage monthly reporting to benefits providers and lead on annual benefits renewals, including pensions
  • Provide expert guidance on complex payroll, benefits, tax, and NI queries across the business
  • Act as a key point of liaison with HR to ensure timely and accurate information flow for payroll processing
  • Support ad-hoc projects across the wider HRIS, Payroll, HR, and Finance functions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including those less familiar with payroll and pensions

About You

  • Proven experience managing multiple payrolls, ideally within a large-headcount environment (1,000+ employees); retail experience would be highly desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK PAYE legislation, statutory compliance, and HMRC regulations
  • Experience with SAP HR and Workday highly desirable
  • Comfortable managing payroll elements alongside benefits and pension administration, including renewals
  • A process improvement mindset, with the confidence to identify and implement efficiencies
  • Digitally savvy, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • A confident communicator, able to build relationships with senior stakeholders across the business

Salary and Benefits:

  • 10% bonus
  • Company benefits including subsidised canteen
  • 24 days holidays + bank holidays

This role requires 4 days per week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mandatory) with potential to be reduced to 3 after probation. Please note full-time office attendance during the initial 6-month probation period is required.
