A globally recognised consumer brand based in Central London is seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. With its continually expanding international presence, this is an opportunity for an ambitious, forward-thinking individual to join this well-established retailer.
Reporting to the Senior Group Reporting Manager, the role will be responsible for supporting with technical accounting for the business globally, including implementing new group-wide policies and working with Regional CFOs on any technical-related matters.
Responsibilities include:
- A key member of the preparation of the group consolidated accounts under IFRS of the group reporting for the business globally including review and analysis of the group financial statements
- Managing the implementation of new technical policies including IFRS18
- Working as the point of contact for the regional finance teams on any technical matters, including liaising with Regional CFOs
- Preparation of the annual report including writing complex footnote disclosures
- Project-related work including acquisition accounting, impairment process and hedge accounting
- Ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS
- Deliver training to the global finance teams on new accounting policies
- Support with mentoring an apprentice
Skill set required:
- ACA/CA Qualified Accountant with 2+ years post qualified experience
- Trained in a Top 6 Practice firm, operating at Manager level or with 2 years PQE experience in industry
- Experience auditing a multinational group where you have dealt with consolidation of 80+ entities
- Exposure to IFRS3, IAS36, IFRS9
- Experience auditing or working in the retail sector is advantageous
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders based globally
